Since the beginning of the automobile industry, Mercedes Benz has proved to be masters when it comes to creating rare and exquisitely crafted vehicles. This is the case of the CLS class. The CLS was introduced in 2018 based on the E-class model and since then has seen a drastic improvement in the design and features. Mind you this car is a saloon car but has the sleek roofline associated with coupes such that it is sometimes referred to as a “four-door coupe”. The CLS-550 4matic is in a world of its own when it comes to design and performance.
Even though it has a much busier bodywork than it did in its first edition, the new 2018 Mercedes-Benz CLS still draws admiring glances everywhere. A complex intersection of crests and curves meets together at the rear wheels of the CLS. This gives the CLS a classic badass look, made more noticeable by the short trunk cover.
The aerodynamic design is one of a kind to be seen on a sedan. Despite its rugged looking design, the CLS comes packed with a lot of driver assistance features which include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and attention assist. Adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, pedestrian detection, adaptive high beams, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert are also part of the optional Driver Assistance features. This makes the new CLS-550 not only fun to drive for also easier to drive. There’s standard 18-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights on all the trims of 2018 CLS.
Inside of the 2018 CLS is adorned with a beautiful and colourful combination of wood and leather. The interior has enough wood to blow your mind in admiration. The interior is beautifully fitted with ambient lighting of multiple colour choices, a dual-zone climate control, infotainment system with an 8.0-inch screen, heated front seats, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, navigation, a Harman Kardon premium audio system, Bluetooth and a sunroof.
The steering wheel comes with the latest Mercedes Benz control knobs which allow the driver to scroll between drive assistance option and other things displayed on the infotainment screen. The back seat of the 2018 CLS offers more space and legroom than its predecessor.

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz CLS-550 4matic comes fitted with a 4.7-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine rated at 402 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque and it’s paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The power is transmitted to all the wheels in an all-wheel drivetrain configuration.
